I’m Brian of Brin Sound and my mission is to take sound design from craft to fine art. I design sound for film, games, and television. Bringing stories to life through sound, exploring the audio frontier, and helping others starting out on their journey is my passion. I love each discipline of recording, designing, mixing, editing, and implementing in both interactive and linear sound.
I am the in-house Principial Sound Designer for Blizzard Entertainment’s cinematics team. I get to work with each franchise’s cinematics, in-game cutscenes, trailers, and promotional material jumping between the diverse universes of World of Warcraft, Overwatch, and Diablo.
At Brin Sound I release sound libraries, freelance as a sound designer in film and television, and help the audio community with education and support.
I previously worked in-house for Activision’s Call of Duty franchise, shipping Infinite Warfare, World War II, Call of Duty Online, and Black Ops 4 as an interactive sound designer. Prior to Activision, I worked on documentaries, short films, advertisements, and television shows with Defacto Sound.
I am the recipient of a TEC, GANG, and Golden Reel award for sound design in interactive audio, and received two more golden reel nominations for my linear work at Blizzard Entertainment. I’m grateful for the amazing projects and people I work with each day.
